Hey everybody, I’m excited to present the latest issue of the Appalachian Free Press!
However, our Editor-in-Chief has decided to step down, and I don’t think I can keep doing this on my own.
So I need some help!
The paper needs a few things, first we need a real board of governors, ten people to operate I’d reckon.
We need an editor-in-chief, to supervise maintaining the quality of our issues. As well as a strategic plan to maintain the paper in the future. A finance officer to get us solvent!
Ideally we’d be able to pay our writers. In the last 3 years of running we’ve made a grand total of 45 dollars.
I’d love to maintain this paper and the stories that we get to publish, but without help I’ll be unable to continue this project.
Without assistance this will be the last issue of the press.
We’ll maintain the website until the end of the year, and any donations will be returned.
It’s been an absolute joy to read all of your poetry, articles, and stories. I’ve enjoyed this journey profusely.
Thank you for reading, and enjoy the issue!
